Grey Label Shiraz
Wine
Wolf Blass Grey Label Shiraz is sourced from vineyards throughout McLaren Vale, ranging in altitude from 50 metres near the coast to 200 metres where the region merges with the Adelaide Hills.
Individual vineyard batches are fermented in small open fermenters, receiving plunging and gentle irrigation to optimize flavours, colour and tannins. Some parcels complete fermentation in barrel while others are left on skins to build length.
The wine then matures in a combination of new and seasoned French and American oak barrels for 18 months prior to blending and bottling.
Deep crimson purple, Wolf Blass Grey Label Shiraz is full bodied with plush dark fruit flavours and velvety tannins: hallmarks of the Grey Label style. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
